you can give yourself a virtual makeover at http://www.marykay.com/adonner
There are lots of tips for applying eye makeup based on eye shape. There are also application tips for lip makeup as well.
Well, first, here are some websites:
www.covergirl.com (go to tips%26amp;tricks%26gt;%26gt;shadow salon)
www.marykay.com
www.wikihow.com
www.ehow.com
beauty.ivillage.com
beauty.about.com
www.sephora.com
www.mac.com
www.clinique.com
Hopefully, these will help. Also, here's how you should do it. You'll need:
copper/bronze/fleshy-colored eyeshadow
mascara
highlighter
white liner
white eyeshadow
applicator (brush)
liner (black or brown)
First, apply the white shadow all over lid. Then, apply your copper-colored shadow very low on your lid. Add a highlighter under the edge of your brow. Use your brush for these steps.
Then, use the white pencil around the tear duct. To apply liner, brown on the bottom, only near the edge (this is optional) and apply black on top, very close to your lash line. Finish off with mascara.
You can also go to Sephora and ask them questions. Clinque will do your make-up for free-but be polite and buy something, too. Your friends may also know a thing or two. The TV show on TLC-What Not To Wear-also has great advice.
There are also videos on www.youtube.com
Good luck!

Hope it helps!
Try Differtent Magazine websites (ALL magazines have them) like GL, Seventeen, YM, CosmoGIRL, Teen Vouge, etc.
I do mine with lighter colors in the teardot and under the brow, and darker colors closer to my eye. NEVER use red, always use bronze when you want a darkish color. Violets are okay when you're using them for a smokey eye effect ONLY.
You also have to use colors to match you skin tone. For instance, lighter greens work well with African-American skin and Peaches, Pinks, Lavender, and NEVER blue work for Asian. Best of luck!
